Make Money Online with eBay

Over the last decade, millions of dollars have been made from online auction sites. The leader in action sites is none other than eBay. However, for everyone that has earned on eBay, there are 10 people who have either tried and failed to earn on eBay or want to try to. You see those e-books everywhere promising they can teach you the secrets to eBay success and I must admit, I have tried a few; however, I have not learned new from them. I am a regular seller on eBay, and now I will let you in on how I do it.

The first and most important thing to do is know what to sell! People love to think they can make a fortune just selling the random junk around their house, but the truth is this is a very inconsistent way to make sales. But how do you know what to sell? That's easy! Ebay tells you what the most popular items are, you just have to know where to look! In the top right hand corner or the main page, press Buy. Then, scroll to the bottom and click Popular Products.

Now that you know what people are buying, find it so you can sell it! How? This is where you get creative. Here are the places I check:

Check your house! I'm sure you've got some of the DVD's or VHS's that people are looking for. How often do you really watch it?

Garage Sales! Garage sales are great places to find gently used electronics, movies, CD's, and all sorts of other things. You'll get a great price and because you know what is selling on eBay you know you can resell it for a profit!

Habitat for Humanity ReStore/Goodwill! Some think it is a bad thing to go buy from these places and resell for a profit, I think if you can manage to do so more power to you! Beware, prices may be higher than at a yard sale.

Pawn Shop! This is one resource that very few people use. The fact of the matter is you can get some amazing deals visiting these places. Most the time Pawn Shops only give loans for 25% of the retail value of an item. Say that is a game system worth $400. If they give a $100 loan on it, you can offer to buy the product for $200 and they make a profit of $100 and you can resell it for $300, making you a profit of $100 as well and the final recipent still getting 25% off the original retail! Be sure you learn how Pawn Shops work, the better you can haggle the more profits you can make this way. This is where I have had most of my success!

Classifieds! Newspapers, magazines, and even the internet have classifieds everywhere with people offering to sell all sorts of goods. Whether you want to use Craigslist.com or your local newspaper, be sure to check often and you're sure to find a gem every so often. You may also be able to haggle and get a good deal for a larger profit margin. It is key that you know what you are buying and know the resell value prior to purchase so you do not get burned.

Dropshippers! This is one resource that few people know exist and many eBay sellers do not want me to tell you about! Dropshippers are companies that offer you products at cheap, wholesale prices that you can post on eBay for auction without even purchasing them! When a customer orders the item and pays you, you place the order with the dropshipper and they send it DIRECTLY to the customer! You do not need to keep an inventory or spend any of your own money, all you do is post the item and collect the profit.
